Going to help a friend shoot a short film this weekend. Its been a while since I got creative behind the camera. Have some gear too that I want to field test. Its gonna be really cold out though and its mostly an outdoor shoot at night. But Hey, freezing temperatures or hot desert winds - nothing beats creating Movie Magic!

Its winter now in Beijing. The good part is the snow of course. Even garbage dumps look pretty covered with snow.  The bad part is the cold! lol...and when its windy and cold. 
My car hates winter of course. Needs that extra push at ignition time. Snowing every now and then means it needs to be washed more often. He loves a good wash, but he hates having to do it too often.
Winter also means we cannot do too many family weekend outings. I love the drive to the suburbs during the weekends with Naomi and the little guy. Ah well, we shall wait.

So here are some possible ways one could motivate oneself to do the things they want to do:
Using Money:

1. Spend a lot of money on buying new exercise equipment or a gym membership..

Reverse Company:
2. If you want to be rich, hang out where the rich dudes are and feel sorry for yourself. 

Do the opposite thing:
3. You want to loose weight - overeat everyday - you will be so miserable all the time, you will loose your appetite eventually.

Goddammit! With the holiday rush, its sold out everywhere in the states as well! Well at least around where my friend lives! I really dont want to buy it for twice the price here. Well, not exactly twice.. more like RMB 1000 more.... Hmm...

There, I said it. I might as well admit it. I need  a new phone and I don't want to get any thing else. I have an Ipad and now that I use icloud all the time, what else can I buy?
The master has left the building - physically at least, but Steve Jobs still controls our lives with his wonderful little instruments.

Imagine travelling two-three hours everyday and not being able to even look out  the window at anything more than a black tunnel with the occasional lights whizzing past.
All I can think of is getting out, least of all about getting anywhere.

iCloud is great for keeping your contacts in sync and secure. I don't think one has to worry about loosing their contacts anymore if they are using iCloud. Google Chrome has a web interface app that lets you add in new contacts via your PC. 

Everything you add automatically syncs with your iPhone/iPad.

I have always told myself that I had been very lucky to have him as my father. His passing will be a weight I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
